SUWUNG VILLAGE, First stop to watch "the Barong and Keris Dance" at Kesiman Village, The Barong dance is one of the most popular cultural show in Bali, this dance normally perform at the temple during temple festival. The Dance start at 9.00 am and finish at 10.00 am. The story behind this dance is an enternal fight between good and evil spirit. "The Barong" is (a mythological animal) represent good spirit and "The Rangda", a witch (a mythological monster) represent evil one. Balinese people also belived that the Barong is symbol of protector. Many kinds face of Barong available , mostly known is Barong Ket, Barong Landung, Barong Macan (tiger face) Barong celeng (pig face). The Barong and Keris dance ticket is IDR 80,000 /person.
Celuk Village, This village is located strategically on the main road form the Denpasar to Gianyar Regency which is about 5 km from Denpasar Town, Celuk Village is the famous village in Bali as a tourist destination cause of the local residents is very proactive and full of innovation to the gold and silver crafting. This countryside is located in sub district of Sukawati, Gianyar Regency and owns the individuality and excellence in production of gold and silver crafting. Tohpati Village is located east side of Denpasar city, this village welknown for Batik Village. Most of the villager here making batik, there some of the batik studio you can see here, process of making batik you can observe also.The word "batik" is Indonesian-Malay in origin and it means "to dot." Similar processes of dye resistant designs have been traced to Egypt and the Middle East--about 1500 years ago--but the current process for batik originated in Indonesia. There, batik making has evolved to become one of the greatest art forms of Asia. This ancient technique involves using a wajan--similar in shape to a wok--for melting wax, and a canting, a wooden-handled tool with a metal tip for applying wax to create the design. Kehen Temple is a beautiful Hindu temple located in foothills, south part of Bangli Regency and it is about 45 Km from Denpasar town. Inside of this temple are, there is Panyimpenan Temple building keep 3 inscriptions which is relating to its contents and temple existence. It is strategically located in the high land, so we can see the beautiful view. It is a famous temple in Bali and many visitors from foreign country has visited it. Besakih Mother Temple, located in slope of Mount Agung about 1000 meters above sea level. This is the first temple built in Bali or well known with Mother Temple, built by the javanese High priest Rsi Markandeya who traveled to Bali in 8th century. Besakih Temple has big complex of temple included the family temple who add later by another Javanese high priest Danghyang Nirartha in 16th century. The main temple courtyard is "Penataran Agung" has a triple throne called "Padmasana Tiga" with separate seats of the trinity gods Brahma, Wisnu and Siwa. Court of justice, It is located in the centre of Klungkung town. Kerta Gosa was built in the 18th century when Bali was ruled by the dynasty of King Kresna Kepakisan. Separated from the Puri (palace) there is a complec of justice buildings, the hall of justice called Kerta Gosa. The floating hall called Bale Kambang, and the water pool called Taman Gili. The ceilings of the buildings are covered by traditional paintings Kamasan style. They were replaced by using new material in 1930 and renewed in 1960. The palace it self was destroyed during the war between the Dutch and the Kingdom in Bali in the beginning of 20th century.The visitor are crowded enough either domestic or foreign visitors. Bats Cave Temple "Goa Lawah Temple", the temple located in Pesingahan Village, Klungkung regency. The temple built in 11th century by priest Mpu Kuturan or Mpu Rajakerta, this priest who created 4 concepts of temple in Bali. Denpasar Traditional market, Denpasar is the capital of Bali Province. The main street of Denpasar is Gajah Mada street where is the main shopping area, there are 2 big traditional market, "Pasar" refer to market, Badung and "Pasar" Kumbasari. Both of the market has 4 storey and open 24 hours in the day time the market open in main building, in the base and second floor for vegetables, fruits, meat and daily food seller, third and fourth floor for textile and temple procession equipment. Late evening till early morning the market open in the parking area. In the main street there are a lot of big textiles shops. No Entrance fee
Museum Bali, this museum originally built in 1910 by Dutch Government. In 20 January 1917 this museum was destroyed by the biggest earthquake in Bali. In 1932 the museum rebuilt again till today, there are 4 main building in south pavilion has 2 storey has collection of prehistoric pieces, traditional artefacts and some old painting. Futher north Buleleng building has variety collection of textiles including endek and double ikat gringsing. Other building Karangasem has Balinese calender and priest' clothing. the Northen building is Tabanan has many Barong mask and Keris. Entrance fee at IDR 5,000 /person
Bajra Sandhi Monument is monument of Balinese People Struggle .This Monument is recognized by the name of Bajra Sandhi because it's form is looking like Bajra or Genta or bell used by all Hindu Priest in reading off Weda holy sentence (mantra) at religious ceremony. This monument is built in the year 1987 and it is opened by president of Megawati Sukarno Putri on 14 June 2003. The purpose of this monument is to immortalize the soul and spirit of Balinese People struggle, at one blow dig, looking after, developing and also preserve the culture of Bali to be bequeathed to a router generation as advancing capital stroke tread a world of loaded progressively with the challenge and resistance. Uluwatu Temple, Ulu in Balinese mean "Head", Watu it's mean stone, stony ends of Bali. This temple built in 11th century by Javanese high priest Empu Kuturan or well known with Empu Raja Kerta. watch Kecak and Fire Dance at Uluwatu Temple, A Kecak performance is very simple. The men's chorus chants the words Cak ke-cak ke-cak ke-cak ke-cak ke-cak, in rhythm, over and over again, For this reason they are called the Kecak or Cak dance. The Kecak dances consist of about fifty men wearing only a loin-cloth, the upper part of their bodies left bare. They form rows of circles, in the middle of which is a coconut oil lamp. The Kecak dance is performed for dance-dramas and the story presented is taken from the Ramayana epic. Ticket fee at IDR 70,000 /person
